Natural treatment for corns and calluses
Wearing uncomfortable shoes for longer period of time leads to building up of corns and calluses in our feet Calluses are nothing but a hard layer on the skin caused due to friction, pressure or rubbing. Corns are normally, smaller in size in comparison to calluses but with hard centre appearing on top and sides of toe. If timely and proper care is not provided to these corns and calluses, then it can really damage your skin in harmful way. Here are some ways that can help you to treat corns and calluses naturally.
Castor oil is considered to be thick oil. Applying it on affected area in night can be very effective in curing corns and calluses. Make sure you wear pair of socks after applying the oil for preventing your bed sheet to get strained.
Add some Epsom salt in warm water; now soak your feet in this solution for about 20-25 minutes. This will help in softening the callus on your feet. It will also provide you relief from swelling and inflammation that may have developed around your callus. Once the callus on your feet gets soften, wear it down using a pumice stone in a very gentle manner without hurting yourself.
You can moisturize the affected area with calendula herbal cream or oil. This will not only keep your skin soft, prevent painful cracking on your feet too because of corns and calluses. But somehow, if you fail to find the calendula cream or oil for moisturizing, buy any other cream or lotion with lactic acid.
You can even cut off corns with sterile knife. Later, bandage it properly after applying turmeric and oil paste over it. This procedure, if carried out effectively in proper guidance can stop further development and expansion of corns
