Mouthwatering salads
Hey all you calorie conscious people, here are some healthy and nourishing salad recipes for you all, just try them out in your kitchen cabinets.
Cheese cream salad
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped pineapple, 1 cup chopped cucumber, ½ cup peas, ½ cup chopped carrot, 1 cup chopped cauliflower, 1 cup cream, ½ cup cheese spread, lemon juice of a lemon, 1 tsp salt, ¾ tsp black pepper, 1 cup milk, 1 cup chopped tomatoes, ½ cup cheese, 1/ cup chopped paneer
For garnishing:
Peas, and slices of tomatoes, cucumber and carrots
Method:
Cook chopped cauliflower in a pan with milk for 3 minutes. In a bowl pour milk, cream, cheese, lemon juice, salt, black pepper and the above cauliflower milk together and let it cool down for sometime. Add all the other ingredients to this mixture and again keep it aside to cool down for some more time.
When serving, add cream to it. Place the salad in a tray and garnish with slices of tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and peas.
Butterfly salad
Ingredients:
500 gm cooker tomatoes, 1 kg grated radish, 1 cup chopped coriander leaves, 100 gm grated beetroot, 5 onions grated, 4 chopped green chilies, 100 gm peas, 50 gm anaar dana powder, 5-10 black pepper powder, 5-7 cloves, salt and lemon juice to taste
Method:
Make a shape of a butterfly on a serving tray with the help of a pencil very lightly. Peel off and chop the vegetables as per requirement. Place the grated radish on the wings of butterfly nicely. Slice the tomatoes in circular rounds. Place these tomato rounds on the outer surface of a butterfly. Place chopped green chilies over it. Cover the rest part with green leaves. Add more vegetables as per your choice to give a shape of a butterfly.
