Monsoon Beauty Tips
With the advent of monsoons, women immediately get concerned about the glow and shine of their skin and hair. However, there are some basic methods by which you can beat the monsoon blues and attain a healthy and a glowing appearance throughout the year.
Make-up Tips
Face: Due to the humid condition of monsoons, one’s skin often gets dry and the constant process of wetting and drying can lead to the dehydration of skin. Hence, a moisturizer should always be applied before make-up and it is a good idea to rub an ice cube over one’s face for 5 to 10 minutes as it helps in lowering down the perspiration rate. In addition, it is better to use face powder instead of foundation during monsoons. However, if a foundation has to be used before make-up, it should be an oil-based one.
Eyes: Eyes form an important beauty constituent of one’s body as they are the gateways through which one’s thoughts and feelings are expressed. Hence, to avoid ugly, smudgy eyes during monsoon, one should apply waterproof make-up products like waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner. The use of kajal should be avoided as they are more likely to spread and smudge all over one’s eyes during the wet and humid conditions of monsoon.
Cheeks: The glow and shine of your cheeks can be maintained in monsoons through the use of cream blushers which along with being appealing are water-friendly too. Light color blushes should be applied to give a natural glow and they should blend well with the cheek so that they don’t appear as a blob of color.
Lips: A nourishing lip balm should be used and lip glosses should be particularly avoided during this season.
Hair: Letting one’s hair get wet during this season can lead to irritation in the scalp due to the polluted particles which get attached with rain water. Moreover, one should not step out in rain with oil in one’s hair as it can lead to irritation and dandruff in the scalp.
With the given tips, one should gear up to highlight one’s beauty as beauty is forever and should not be affected by changing seasons.
