Mocktail fusion
The scorching sun rays and ever soaring temperatures double the desire for cool beverages and edibles. The mentioned mocktails recipes will surely help in quenching your thirst in sweltering, blistering weather.
* Blood Mary Mocktail
Ingredients:
400 ml tomato juice,1/2 tsp Tabasco juice,1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce,1 tsp lemon juice, salt to taste, one piece of lime
Method:
Mix tomato juice, Tabasco juice and lemon juice well. Now add Worcestershire sauce to it. Chill it in refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes by pouring it in a tall glass. Serve chilled with a wedge of lemon.
* Nutmeg flavored cold coffee
Ingredients:
400ml cold milk, sugar cubes (as per taste), one and half tsp instant coffee, ice cubes
For garnishing:
A pinch of nutmeg powder (for children, nutmeg can be substituted with the gems of different colors)
Method:
In a blender, blend the milk, sugar and ice –cubes with coffee powder till it becomes frothy. Now, serve immediately after garnishing with nutmeg or gems.
* Black and white wonder
Ingredients:
One scoop of vanilla ice cream, 100 ml black grape juice, 100 ml aerated soda water
For garnishing
Shredded mint leaves
Method:
In a tall glass, make 2 layers with ice cream at the bottom and then pour grape juice over it. Now top it with soda water. At the end garnish with shredded mint leaves and serve chilled.
* Pink lady mocktail
Ingredients:
4-5 fresh strawberries, 200ml cold milk, sugar cubes, 2 tbsp jelly pieces
For garnishing:
2-3 rose petals
Method:
Blend milk, strawberries and sugar cubes in a blender well. Now add jelly. Serve chill after garnishing with rose petals.
* Red riding hood:
Ingredients:
200 ml carrot juice, 100 m tomato juice, ice cubes, rock salt to taste
For garnishing:
1 sprig of parsley, tiny umbrella made from paper
Method:
Blend carrot juice and tomato juice well in blender. Add rock salt and ice cubes to it. Now garnish with parsley and paper umbrellas. Serve chill.
