Mistakes that can lead to Miscarriage
Having a miscarriage is one of the most traumatic and shattering moments for a woman. We often blame destiny, luck and the almighty for this disastrous moment but along with certain biological and uncontrollable factors, there are also certain common mistakes which can lead to miscarriage. Hard to believe but it is a bitter truth and it is always better to be aware of such common mistakes so as to prevent the occurrence of such unfortunate incidents.
There are a number of miscarriages which happen due to uncontrollable biological factors. It is a common myth that exercising, eating spicy food or having sex during pregnancy can lead to miscarriage. Nothing of this sort is true and though a woman cannot cause or either prevent this unfortunate incident, there are ways to minimize the risk of miscarriages by avoiding some basic mistakes. The first major mistake a pregnant woman can make is to smoke during pregnancy. Smoking reduces the supply of oxygen to the placenta which in turn increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. Similarly, alcohol intake in excess is a major cause which is linked to miscarriage. Many researches have found that pregnant woman should limit and even stop caffeine intake as caffeine is metabolized by the same hormones which metabolize hormones of pregnancy and thus excess of caffeine intake can reduce the chances of successful implantation of an embryo in the uterus thereby leading to miscarriage. In addition, stress is another factor which can hamper the health of woman as well as her developing child.
These are some of the common mistakes which can lead to miscarriages. However, blaming the woman for this unfortunate incident is wrong as neither diet, exercise, sex, environmental factors and other myths are responsible for miscarriages. It generally happens due to biological reasons and many a times certain common mistakes of smoking or alcohol intake can trigger off this incident.
