Makeup trend for this summer

September 22, 2008

Thinking how to look glamorous this summer, then read the following makeup tips/trends below:
For your eyes:
Smoky and subtle eyes with loads of mascara will definitely rule this season. Also, subtle and natural eyes will be hit this season. For summery touch, use eyeliner and dash of brown-black mascara to brighten your eyes. As far as color are concerned, go for peach, bronze, woody browns, lilac, pale coral, exotic floral and sea colors in neutral shades. Silver, gold and smoky black can also be used to add a dash of drama. If you want to highlight your eyes, do up your lips in neutral or subtle shades. However, you can make use of bright lipsticks with dramatic dark eye shadows during night time. Finish your makeup with smudge-proof mascara on the lashes.

For your cheeks:
Go for soft beach, pink, caramel colors in daytime and more striking shades of red and burgundy for night outs. Remember that streaky cheek color is one of the summer’s pitfalls. So avoid it by skipping the cream blush. Style wise, apply blush on the apple of your cheeks for gaining a more natural look.

Your makeup base:
Remember that in summers, wrong application of foundation can prove to be highly risky as you may end up looking a mess. So for getting a fresh, light look, choose a tinted moisturizer-based foundation. Make sure to match the color of base with your skin tone. Match with your neck shade, not with the back of your hand color. For adding a summery touch, go for a creamy texture as it will give you a nice summery look. You can make use of makeup sponge or brush to apply the base products to get an even look on your face and neck.
