Hey all you calorie conscious people, here are some sumptuous low-calorie recipes for you guys! Prepare in your kitchen and enjoy them!

Savory semolina cake
Ingredients:

1 cup semolina, 125 ml plain yogurt, 125 ml water, 40 gm frozen peas, 2 tbsp chopped onions, 1 small grated carrot, handful of frozen or fresh green beans (roughly broken up), 8 gm ginger (peeled and made into a paste), 1-2 finely chopped green chili powder, ¼ -1 tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 3 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp sesame seeds, ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

Method:
Preheat the oven to 200C/400F and oil a loaf tin. Mix together the semolina, yogurt, water, vegetables, ginger, chili, spices and salt. Taste and adjust if necessary. Heat the oil in a small saucepan. Add the seeds and cook for 30 seconds or until the mustard seeds have popped and cumin is aromatic. Stir into the batter, which should be of medium consistency. If not, add a splash of water. Stir in the bicarbonate of soda and immediately pour into the tin and bake for 35 –40 minutes. When a toothpick comes out clean, it is ready. Serve with green chutney.

Grape and chocolate pudding
Ingredients:

1 vanilla flavored sponge cake, 1 cup custard sauce, 1 cubed mango, ¼ cup grated chocolate, 1 cup assorted fruits for stuffing

Method:
To prepare the pudding, slice the cake horizontally and apply the custard sauce on the base, sprinkle the diced mangoes on it and sandwich the second layer on top.
Apply a generous layer of the custard sauce again and top with fruits and decorate with grapes and chocolate.
Serve the instant desert hilled and along with some more chocolate if desired.
