List of items to be carried at the time of pregnancy to hospital
Ever thought of that you need number of items before you check- in hospital for your delivery purpose? Just make sure that you had a pre-packed bag containing the entire important stuff that you may require at any point of time during your stay in hospital. Here are the lists of things that you can note it down for your good, so what more you waiting for- have a look and start packing your bag accordingly for a stress-free stay in hospital.
Prepare a Lamaze bag and place the following things in it without forgetting. Have a copy of birth plan, signed by your caregiver, the original one attached with your chart. Carry a watch with a second hand to time your contractions. Place a comfortable pair of shoes for walking during labor process. Place a wooden roller-type foot massager to help reduce your labor pain through acupressure. Also keep a pair of heavy socks to keep your feet warm.
For yourself
Place nightgowns. If you plan to breastfeed, make sure that they button in the front otherwise use special nursing gowns. Also carry a robe and slippers, a shower cap, and your usual cosmetics and grooming aids. Don’t forget to pack up your home going clothes too, preferably a loose fitting one or a maternity dress, since it will take some more weeks before you regain your pre-pregnant figure. Also carry sanitary pads, peri-care items such as squeeze bottle, medicated cleaning pads and anesthetic spray.
For baby
Carry a nice, comfortable outfit in which he or she can be brought to home. Carry diapers, pair of socks and booties for your infant. You can also pack a sweater or warm outer covering, depending on the weather conditions. You can also pack a receiving blanket, if necessary.
