Liquid Diet Plan
With more and more people becoming conscious about their health, especially their figure, there has been a steady rise in the concept of liquid diet. In most of the liquid diet plans, you replace two of your meals with liquids and one meal is retained which needs to be healthy and nutritious. It is generally a short term diet plan that can be classified in three different categories- clear liquid diet, full liquid diet and blended liquid diet. Liquid diet plans replaces two meals with a carefully planned milk shake which is usually made from eight ounces of skimmed milk and powdered milk mix and it contains about 200 calories. It is a well balanced liquid diet which is low in fat content and generally high in protein. One of the biggest benefits of such diet plan is that you are aware of the nutrient which the liquid diet contains which is much easier than keep guessing and calculating the nutrients and health value of the meals you eat. This is because it is prepared using formulated mix and is thus well balanced. While the liquid diet has the advantage of loosing weight in a short span of time, it is not a long term effect as liquid diet plan is a short diet plan. Thus, the moment you get back to your original diet, consisting of solid food items, there is always that likelihood of regaining back the lost pounds of weight. Also, according to medical science, this diet makes you lose some of the essential substances needed for protection against ailments. Nutritionists are particularly concerned about the lack of fiber and anti-oxidants in liquid diet which in turn makes individuals practicing this diet more susceptible to ailments.
Liquid plan diet thus needs to be followed with precaution so that you lose those extra kilos of weight without regaining them back after a couple of months.
