Juicy Drinks To Beat Summers
To keep yourself cool and refreshed in a scorching weather, here are the recipes of some juicy cool drinks that can be easily prepared in your home kitchen-just try them out!
Tangy mint and papaya cooler
Ingredients:
100 ml fresh lemon juice,180 ml fresh orange juice,100 gm sugar,300 ml water,200 gm mint sprigs,150 gm finely chopped papaya
Method:
Put all the ingredients except papaya in a saucepan, and bring to a boil, stir it until the sugar gets dissolved nicely. Then keep it aside to cool down. Strain and refrigerate. Now add chopped papaya to the above mixture and chill. Serve in a champagne tulip after garnishing with a mint sprig.
Benefits:
Remember that lemon and mint are excellent coolants. Mint also helps in treating aches, pains and cramps while papaya being rich in vitamins aids in your digestion process.
Berry frost
Ingredients:
100 gm fresh mulberries,100gm cranberries, 100gm gooseberries,100 gm blueberries,100 gm blackberries,100gm black and red currants ,100 gm raspberries,100ml cold milk,1/2 tsp vanilla essence,100 gm fresh red cheeries,50 ml flavored yoghurt
Method:
Wash all the berries and keep them aside. Now put all the ingredients in a blender, ad some ice cubes and blends all-together until they become smooth. Serve chill in a beer mug.
Benefits:
Berries are rich in amino acids and anti-oxidants, while yoghurt helps in digestion plus keeps you refreshing and energizing all day long.
Cantaloupe smoothie
Ingredients:
200 gm finely cubed cantaloupe melon,100 ml cranberry juice,100 ml sliced banana,200 ml pineapple chunks,50 ml honey,6 ice cubes,20 ml lemon juice,1/4 tsp grated lemon peel
Method:
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend well till they get smooth. Serve chilled in cantaloupe melon shells after garnishing with scoops of melon balls.
Benefits:
Cantaloupe is rich in vitamin A and C.
