Is your child suffering from low self-esteem
Low self esteem and lack of confidence is known to be the core of various psychological problems. It can really hold you or your child from achieving many things in life. They are both detrimental to your physical as well as emotional well-being. do you know that the level of self esteem that one has, have profound consequences on his or her every day life activities such as how he operates in workplace, how he deals with other people, how much he or she is likely to achieve etc.
You will be surprised to read that reasons for low self esteem begins during the period of childhood only. Even the most confident adolescent can grow up to experience low self esteem and start to feel unworthy of himself or herself.
Low self esteem is best described as having a low opinion of oneself ether consciously or subconsciously. It also relate to having feeling of being worthless. so if you also, find your child having low self –esteem , make sure you take concentrated efforts to build up his or her lost confidence, so that he or she does not lag behind in such a competitive world.
Here are some of the basic characteristics of having low self esteem, just check that out in your child.
* General lack of participation
* Negative responses to questions
* Indecisiveness
* Sluggish physical behavior
*aggressive or argumentative behavior
* Inability to say no
*low self esteem can be correlated with anxiety, loneliness, low life satisfaction, depression, resentment and irritability
If you notice any of the above traits in your child, tell him that this is a world where only the fittest survives. So help him or her to develop their characters and build up strong self confidence in them.
