Irish whiskey For Whiskey lovers

January 7, 2009

Winter is really getting on your nerve so heat up yourself with Irish whiskey. The basic information about how this unique whiskey is prepared and how they blend with different items of whiskey materials are used. You may see that there are several Irish whiskey that comes in several forms.

This is how they make the whiskey; there is single malt whiskey made from hundred percent malted barley distilled in a pot still, and grain whiskey made from grains distilled in a column still. Grain whiskey is much lighter and more neutral in flavour than single malt and is almost never bottled as a single grain. It is instead used to blend with single malt to produce a lighter blended whiskey.

Unique to Irish whiskey is pure pot still whiskey. While single malt from both Scotland and Ireland is distilled only in a pot still, the designation “pure pot still” as used in Ireland generally refers to whiskey made of hundred percent barley, mixed malted and unmalted, and distilled in a pot still. The “green” unmalted barley gives the traditional pure pot still whiskey a spicy, uniquely Irish quality. This is sure to give the feeling of real Irish whiskey.

The taste is fantastic and you would not regret even after spending huge bucks on the drinks. The only thing you should remember is how to control your intake of drinks. Don’t over doze, remember, the next day you have to attend the official meeting and you may end up loosing your opportunity for new assignments.

The whiskey price may vary from place to place. However, there are cheaper ones as well for you. One of the unique methods of making Irish whiskey is that they distilled it three times and which makes the taste even better.
