Vitamins are primarily of 5 kinds and all of them have some specific role to play in ensuring the optimum well being of a person.
Vitamin A is required for enhancing the immune system of the body which in turn implies shielding your body from various ailments. Vitamin B helps in increasing the blood flow of the body, and thus prevents anemia by keeping a check on hemoglobin level. Nerve disorders, beriberi and other ailments are associated with deficiency of this important vitamin. Consume green leafy vegetables, raw vegetables, beetroot, milk and fruits to ensure adequate supply of vitamin B to the body. Food grains are also a good source of vitamin B.

It can also be found in sugarcanes, watermelon, apples, pineapple, and sprouted gram amongst others. If you abstain your diet from Vitamin D, then be prepared for bone related disorders like osteoporosis, more common in women. Similarly, vitamin E too makes its presence felt in maintaining the optimum health of a person as well as the health of his skin.
