Importance of Fruits in one’s Diet
It is always a good and a healthy idea to include a salad of raw fruits or a glass of fruit juice in one’s diet. A diet without fruits cannot be considered as nutritious as it is fruits which are replete with vitamins and minerals which in turn help in keeping one healthy and fit. Fruits should always be included in their raw state as cooking fruits can lead to a vanishing away of healthy and essential nutrients. Different fruits are different sources of nutrients and inclusion of a variety of fruits in one’s diet can provide health with taste.
Fruits are a rich source of essential nutrients which are required by the body for its healthy functioning. While fruits like guavas, lemon, oranges and custard apple are a source of Vitamin C, fruits like apple and pomegranate aid in the proper functioning of the heart. In addition, eating papaya is a healthy habit as papaya is considered as a nutritional masterpiece due to its high content of Vitamin C and carotene which helps in maintaining a healthy immune system along with protecting against stomach disorders and cancers. Similarly, the nutrients present in apples, date and mangoes help in sharpening of one’s memory along with preventing exhaustion, hysteria and mental tension. However, one should consume mangoes in moderate quantity as they have high levels of calories.
If one has problem of chronic bronchial ailments, then one should increase the intake of fruits like pineapple and pomegranate as along with helping in the treatment of bronchial ailments, they also aid in soothing inflammation of nose and throat. Other fruits like watermelon are useful for the healthy functioning of the kidney and berries are beneficial in blood building due to their rich content of iron and phosphorus. Every fruit has an associated healthy function with it and thus one should make it a point to include fruits, especially raw ones, in one’s diet to remain healthy and fit.
