Hurdles outstation students face in outside universities

September 10, 2008

After much of brain storming sessions at universities admission which is truly dominated by soaring cut-offs, now time comes for teenagers to settle down and relax a bit before the session’s starts. They have to experience gamut of emotions related with new college, fresh environment and unknown atmosphere.

If you come from an outstation candidate, things become little tougher for you in comparison to local students. You have to go from a list of woes undoubtedly. You may worry about adjusting in a new college at the same time look forward to various events there. Language barrier is toughest things that you have to deal with. If you manage this, then there comes a problem of accommodation. May be staying alone do not affect you much, but adjusting to a new environment definitely gives you goose pimples for sure.

The safety of girls is another major thing to be looked after to. It is very important to check about the security of college you seeking admission into. If you applying in Delhi university and belong to north eastern crowd, then you need to concern about the attitude if delhities towards you. This is because often students belonging to north eastern states are victims of vulgar comments when they apply to universities with regular delhities.

Even if you face lot of troubles or obstacles as an outstation student, there’s nothing much to despair about. Just ask your seniors and seek their advices on matters which you find it hard to deal with. Make sure to avoid freaking unnecessarily in new places to be on safer side. Also, make a double verification about the place before taking accommodation there. After all, you have to spend your three years of life there and you should try to make it worth remembering.
