How to treat vaginal woes
Every woman at some point in her life suffers from this distressing and embarrassing complaint of vaginal infections. But remember the golden rule here: Good personal hygiene forms an important base in preventing such vaginal infections. Many adult women and teenaged girls are never taught much about the importance of hygiene. So, here are some points listed below that are crucial for maintaining good vaginal health.
After bowel movement, it is very important that you clean yourself thoroughly with plenty of after. If you use tissue paper for cleaning, make sure you wipe from front to back. Proper cleaning helps in preventing the faecal matter to come in contact with vaginal area.
Avoid deodorant tampons, sanitary napkins, scented douches and toilet paper, or any other product, which contains chemical. If such objects come into direct contact with vagina, they cause irritation.
If you find that the vaginal secretion smells unpleasant, it is quite possible that you suffering from some vaginal infection which needs to get treated. Otherwise, such secretions are useful and needed by your body for elimination of cellular waste as well as for lubrication.
It has been always recommended by health care experts that you should urinate after sexual intercourse. Urination washed off the germs that may be lurking in that area.
Ideally, wear cotton underpants as cotton absorbs the sweat easily without causing you any discomfort. Other artificial stuffs like nylon retain the sweat and develop the perfect condition for formation of yeast. The warmth of body and moisture due to sweating combines with other body nutrients present in vaginal secretions to form yeast. So make sure you choose cotton underpants for wearing.
You can also sleep without your underpants at night, if situation permits you so as to allow optimum air circulation to your vagina.
