How to Take Care of Toe Fingers and Nails
Yellow toenails filled with dirt are not a pretty sight from any angle. Not only do they look ugly, but they are unhygienic and unhealthy too. You need to take proper care of your toe fingers and nails to prevent skin infections. Read below and find out how you can keep your feet and toes beautiful and healthy.
Did you ever think why your toe is so vulnerable to skin infections? This is because our toes are usually kept inside shoes for a long time. Such a moist and humid environment is favorable for the growth of fungus and its associated infections.
It is thus important that you regularly change your socks and avoid keeping your feet in shoes for a long time. Also, you must wash and thoroughly dry your shoes in sun, at least once a week.
There are various factors that can lead to toenail infections. However, the important point is that you recognize the symptoms in time and take timely remedial action.
Thus, if you find swelling or redness around your toe, or if your toenails become thick, flaky and emit a foul odor, then you must seek medical attention.
Daily care of your toes can help a great deal in keeping them clean and healthy. You must trim your toenails at regular intervals. In addition, soaking your toes in baby oil can help in softening your hard and bitter toenails.
If you want to whiten your toenails to make them sparkling clean, then you can use baking soda. All you need to do is to add little baking soda in warm water and soak you toenails in it for about 10 to 15 minutes. This will help in naturally cleaning and whitening your nails.
Follow the above given tips to keep your toe fingers and nails in a clean and healthy condition.
