How to Take Care of Oily Skin
Each one of us has different skin tone and texture and the type of skin care required depends upon the kind of skin a person possesses. This is because skin care of a person with dry skin will be different from one with an oily skin. This article will talk about ways in which you can take care of your oily skin.
If you have an oily skin, then you are susceptible to frequent occurrences of acne, pimples and blemishes. This is because an oily skin produces more oil than required which in turn attracts dust and pollutants and also clogs skin pores, leading to frequent skin eruptions. There are various factors that can lead to an oily skin like diet, genetics, and hormonal imbalances amongst others.
Many of us have a false belief that excessive washing and drying of face can help in combating excessive oil on the skin. While washing of face and keeping it clean is essential, it does not imply that you frequently wash your face or use harsh products as that can lead to the stripping of essential oils from the skin which in turn can promote the oil glands to produce more oil to compensate for the lost one.
Cleansing face and keeping it clean is important. You should use hot water for washing your face if you have an oily skin. However, avoid use of harsh soaps.
Also, most of the people with oily skin avoid use of a moisturizer. But you should use an oil-free moisturizer after washing your face to keep your skin naturally soft and supple. Making a mixture of lemon juice and water and applying that on your skin can help.
In addition to the above given skin care tips, you should also pay attention to your diet. Drink plenty of water and avoid intake of oily, fatty, and spicy food to keep your skin naturally healthy and beautiful.
