How to take Care of chapped lips
Undoubtedly nobody wants to end up with chapped lips. There are number of factors that results in chapped lips for e.g. excessive exposure to wind, sun, and dry air. You will be surprised to read out that even kissing in cold weathers can lead to chapped lips. Lips also chap because of skin ailment known as dermatitis or due to side effects of taking some medications. Without any doubt, such cracks are really painful and unsightly too when they start to bleed. So it’s very important for you take due care of your lips. Here are some easy ways that can help you to heal your chapped lips. Just go through them!
Even at times, nutritional deficiencies cause chapped lips, so make sure to take multi-vitamin supplement rich in calcium, magnesium and flaxseeds oil on regular basis.
Make sure to check the ingredients of lip balms before buying as some components of these lip balms can have very irritating effects on your lips. Go for cocoa butter and beeswax lip balms. Avoid any type of flavored lip balms, no matter how much tempting you find them as they leads to frequent lip licking, thus increasing the chances of chapping.
Make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. If possible, go for warm water. Do you know that sipping hot liquids slowly dilates your circulatory system and increases moisture supply to your body tissues? Avoid caffeine and alcoholic based products as much as possible.
Whenever you out for shopping, make sure to buy only those lip care products that have moisturizing effects on your lips.
You can mix 1 tsp each of castor oil, glycerin and lemon juice and apply on your lips. Leave this overnight. This will give you satiny lips the very next morning.
