How to Sanitize Bathtub Toys
As a parent, you can make the bathing time of your child a happy and an enjoyable one by letting him play with various bathtub toys. Babies and infants love to play with toys along with enjoying the coolness and splashes of water. However, along with fun and entertainment, one should ensure that your baby’s toys are safe and hygienic to prevent any unwanted infection or ailment. Thus, one should follow proper sanitization techniques to keep the toys absolutely safe for the baby.
The fundamental rule demands that one should never take any form of risk with the child’s delicate health and safety. One should only use toys which are specifically designed for bath time as these toys are made in such a way that they are safe and waterproof which do not harm the child. Though these toys might be waterproof, you need to ensure their proper drying after use so as to prevent any infection which can be caused by the growth of bacteria in such wet conditions. Many parents wrongly believe that bathtub toys require no cleaning due to their constant stay in water. This is absolutely false as these toys require extra care and cleansing to prevent your child from catching any sort of infection. Since the child’s body remains in touch with these toys in water, it becomes essential for you to ensure that these toys are properly cleaned and sanitized. There are various sprays such as Clorox Sanitizing spray which can be used to disinfect and clean the toy. One can also clean the toys in a dishwasher and one should be careful of properly drying them before putting them back in water. Bathtub toys can also be cleaned and sanitized through bleaching. However, be careful of keeping the bleaching solution away from your child’s reach as they can harm the sensitive skin of the child.
By following certain basic cleaning and sanitizing techniques, one can ensure a hygienic playing condition for a child which would help in his healthy development.
