How to prepare mutton in Mangalore style

Hey girls and guys, here is an exotic and mouthwatering mutton recipe made in Mangalore style for all of you! Just check it out and prepare in your kitchen cabinet.

Mutton in green masala- Mangalore style
Ingredients:

1/3 cup + 2 tbsp vegetable oil, ¾ cup grated coconut, 15 gm ginger, 1 cup water, 3 large chopped onions, 1 ½ kg mutton leg cut into 4 cm pieces, 24 flakes garlic, 4 tsp salt, 8 green chilies, 2 large chopped tomatoes, ¾ cup chopped coriander leaves, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 10 gm tamarind seeds removed, 2 tsp cumin seeds, 10 peppercorns, 1 tbsp poppy seeds, 2 ½ cm stick cinnamon, 4 cloves, 1 green cardamom,

Method:
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan for about ½ minute. Roast coconut till pale brown and remove.
Add 1 tbsp of oil to the pan. Fry onions till pale brown and remove.
Grind together into fine paste onions, coconut and all other ingredients except turmeric powder, tomatoes, salt and meat, by adding little water from time to time.
Heat the remaining oil in a cooker for about 2 minutes. Add ground paste to it. Stir and fry for about three more minutes. Add turmeric powder, tomatoes and salt to it. Cook till tomatoes are pulpy, stirring constantly in a nice manner. Add meat and Mix well. Add remaining water (1/4 cup). Stir once.
Close the cooker now. Bring to a full pressure on a high heat. Reduce the heat and then again cook for 15 more minutes on low flame.
Remove the cooker from heat and let it cool naturally on its own.
Open the cooker and serve hot.
