How to prepare chicken in Parsi style

hey all you chicken lovers, here is a recipe of tasty and mouthwatering dish called murgi ma kaju in which chicken is prepared with cashew nuts in a real parsi style. So just read it out and prepare in your kitchen once.

Murgi ma kaju in Parsi style

Ingredients for preparing murgi ma kaju
10 gm ginger, 15 flakes garlic, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 ½ cup water, 1 ½ kgs chicken pieces, ½ cup cashew nuts broken into pieces, 10 whole dry red chilies (kashmiri) soaked in ½ cup hot water for 15 minutes, water drained and reserved, ½ cup vegetable oil, 4 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 2 medium sliced onions, 3 tbsp tomato ketchup

Method of preparing murgi ma kaju
Grind together ginger and garlic into a paste and rub on chicken. Allow to marinate for about 1 hour.
Grind together chilies and cumin seeds into a paste, adding a little water in which chilies were soaked, from time to time.

Separately grind cashew nuts into paste, adding a little water (1/2 cup) from time to time.

Heat oil in cooker for about three minutes. Add onions and fry till it turns golden brown in color. Then add chilly paste to it. Stir nicely and fry it for three more minutes. Now add chicken. Fry it nicely for about ten minutes. Add salt and remaining water (1 cup). Mix well.Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for five minutes.
Remove cooker from heat. Allow to cool naturally.
Open cooker.

Place cooker with chicken on high heat. Stir in cashew nut paste, tomato ketchup and sugar. Cook till gravy thickens (approximately two minutes), stirring constantly. Serve hot.
