How to prepare a Healthy Salad
Salads are usually considered as one of the healthiest food items provided they are without those fatty and oily dressings. So, if you are planning to go on a healthy route this season, try out some healthy salad recipes given below so that you gain the benefits of salads without having to sacrifice your taste buds. The best way to begin your day is by indulging your body and taste buds to a poached egg salad which would fill up your stomach till lunch time. Added benefit- you wouldn’t feel hungry to munch on fatty items. To prepare this salad, you need to rinse about 150 g baby leaf spinach and leave it to drain. Turn on the grill and bring pan of water to boil. Poach egg and slice 2 medium tomatoes in half and place them in the grill. While the eggs and tomatoes are under cooking, slice 2 slices of lean ham. Arrange spinach leaves on the plate and sprinkle those ham pieces on it. Then you need to place cooked egg and tomatoes on the prepared bed of spinach to have your healthy and tasty breakfast sald ready. It just takes about 10 minutes and as less as 160 calories to start your day in a healthy fashion. Similarly, you can prepare various kinds of tasty and healthy salads through careful selection of oils and dressing material.
When it comes to oil, olive oil is the best as it helps in reducing cholesterol and thus keeps your heart healthy and body fit. Similarly, vinegar is an important ingredient which is required for the preparation of a healthy salad. It helps in dressing a healthy and delicious salad. Some of the vinegars which are very commonly used by the people are white wine, red wine, sherry, raspberry, balsamic and tarragon.
Follow these simple tips and avoid indulging in too oily or fatty dressings of salads. Instead, adopt the healthy way as healthy salads can be tasty too.
