May 26, 2009

overcomefearWe all have some or the fear in life, be it darkness, failure and others. However, to lead a happy and a successful life, you need to know the ways to overcome fear which is one of the biggest obstacles in path to success.

Don’t run away from your fear. Instead, try to analyze the cause of your fear and face it bravely. The more you run away from your fear, the more it will haunt you.

Thus, first of all, you need to understand the meaning and implication of your fear. For instance, if you fear failure, then you need to understand the reason behind it.

It might be you fear the social humility and hurt pride that accompanies fear. However, instead of feeling scared of the stereotypical stigma associated with failure, you must look at it from a new angle.

It is not the end of the world and instead it’s like a building block to success. The day you learn to understand and live with your fear, you’ll automatically overcome it.

If you are scared of something, you must express it and share it with your near and dear ones. Sharing your fears and worries with others help a lot. You can take advice and help of your near and dear ones in overcoming your fear instead of just repressing it in your heart.

You must have seen many children getting scared of ghosts and supernatural characters after watching TV shows and movies on them. However, if you think your child is developing a fear of such fictional things, you must help him to understand the difference between a real and illusionary life and also prevent him from watching such movies which can scare him.

After all, a small fear in the beginning has the potential to become a huge fear which restricts the person to march ahead in his path to success.

Thus, follow the above given tips, have faith in God and in yourself to overcome fear.
