How to minimize the risk of stress
Do you know that situations themselves are not stressful, they simply happen. The stress usually results from the way we perceive those situations. For e.g. two commuters in a traffic jam both find themselves arriving 30 minutes late to their office. For one, this situation can be extremely frustrating and stressful. While for other, as he cannot change the situation, decides to relax him or herself by playing a CD. Stress usually occurs when we feel we are powerless to change the things that are impacting on our lives. But here are some ways for all you stressed out people so that you can minimize the risk of stress.
Make sure you value diversity. Remember that everyone is differently built up both physically as well as mentally. Their perceptions are shaped by their cultural background and as well as by experience. So don’t ever feel put down by others people’s point of view. Understand that as you have your own say on certain things likewise they have their own outlook too. Try to understand their views too with heart.
Appreciate yourself for good points. In life, make sure you do not take for granted the things that make you feel special. Everything looks nice when they are given due importance and respect. So, celebrate your strengths not forget about your weaknesses. Remember that everyone is not perfect. If one specializes in some field then the other person excels in something else. So find out your strengths and live with them.
Follow the rule of ‘kiss and make up’. Make sure you don’t let disagreements fester and eat away at you. In events of fights, and quarrels, is the first one to sort out the things for the sake of your relationship. Always try to seek an amicable solution.
