How to Make Face Creams
We all buy various kinds of face creams to keep our skin soft, supple and moisturized. But did you know that you can make face creams at home too? It is not difficult or time-consuming. It not only saves money, but is more suited to your needs andis superior in quality as well as effectiveness. Given below are some tips which would help you prepare a face cream at home itself.
Face creams are made by using a wide range of oils. To know which oil suits your skin best, you should visit a local health food store and try out small samples of oil on your skin. The ideal oil for your skin would be one would easily get absorbed by your skin without leaving an oily or greasy face. People with dry skin should ideally use avocado oil, sesame oil and shea butter. For oily skinned people, jojoba oil and grape seed oil are the best. Wheat germ is recommended for all skin types and it is highly rich in vitamins. After selecting the ideal oil for your skin, you may also use essential oils. The first thing involved in making a skin cream at home is to ensure basic hygiene conditions. Pre-wash all your utensils and dry it thoroughly before using it. Take distilled water for safety of skin and heat until it boils. You can then add blended oils and beeswax in the double boiler. Apply low heat to the boiler and heat the mixture till it melts. After it melts, allow it to cool till room temperature. Then put distilled water, Aloe Vera, vitamin E, A and essential oil in a mixer and blend them at the highest speed. While blending, add the above made oil mixture into the mixer. You will find that the lotion slowly gets thick and the mixer would slow down in speed. Your face cream is ready. Store it in a cool place and enjoy the luxury of home made creams.
