How To Keep Your Skin Fresh In Summers

September 6, 2008

Undoubtedly summer heralds the onset of countless skin and hair problems like sunburn, deep tanning etc. moreover; this situation gets aggravated by sweat attracting numbers of dust particles and pollutants to your skin. Here are some easy ways to keep your skin fresh in summer time.

To soothe yourself from sunburn, you can use a head to toe yoghurt mask. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then shower with cold water.

To prevent a tan, make a paste of equal quantities of almond oil and malt vinegar and apply on the affected area at least one hour before your bath. Later wash it off with cold water.

To tighten your skin pores, add a cup of buttermilk to your bath. Make a paste of 2tsp salt, 1 tsp almond oil and ½ tsp malt vinegar. Apply this paste evenly on your body before taking your bath. Trust me, this will nourish and soothe your body leaps and bounds.

For feeling instantly energized, rub ice cubes wrapped in tissues on the pulse points like wrist and ankles.

You can rub the back of your neck and hairline with cologne which you have kept in refrigerator to feel fresh.

To get rid of dull skin, mix 1 tbsp of dry oatmeal powder with yoghurt and add juice of one lemon. Massage your skin with this pack and then leave it for half an hour. Rinse off, pat dry and apply moisturizer. Oatmeal and yoghurt will remove the dead skin and lemon restores the acid balance in the skin. you can follow this with an almond massage.

You can even make your own scrub at home by mixing together 1 tbsp sandalwood powder, 1 tbsp fuller’s earth and enough yoghurt to make a paste. Apply it on and gently rub your skin. Rinse off after 10 minutes.
