How To Keep Your Living Room Cool In Summers
With mercury rising its temperature at an alarming rate, it becomes very important for you to prepare yourself and your ambiance in such a muggy summery weather. Here are some easy ways that can help you to keep your living room cool in scorching summers.
In summers, make constant efforts to keep your living room airy and spacious.
Keep your dining table bare-just a polished surface or a glass top. You can, however add some colors by placing cotton table mats with pretty patterns. You can use silver and wooden napkin holders too.
Leave your furniture without any trims or covers. Make sure to keep more space below the chairs and sofa seats. Also, don’t crowd the sofa with number of cushions. Trust me, cotton-based covers in vibrant colors will definitely inject a serene look to your living room in summers, so try them out!
In summers, get rid of heavy curtains from your living room area. Instead go for some soft mulls and tissues that can offer easy ventilation plus a feeling of greater space.
Also, put away woolen and fake carpets. Believe me, a bare, clean floor embellished with just a small colorful mat or dhuri is a better option for summers.
Green and blue are cool colors for summertime. To pep them up, you can make use of hues and textures that will not only keep the area cool but will soothe your mind also. If coloring the walls seems expensive for you, you can try floral wallpapers on one wall while keeping the other wall bare.
The sound of flowing water gives a sense of serenity and peace. So make a place for fountains either at the entrance or near the landings. It will surely provide a refreshing tinge to your ambience.
