How to Identify a Loner

September 21, 2009

lonelinessAre you a loner? Do you prefer the comfort of your little enclosed space to social gatherings and outings? Well, there are many of us who live in our self created world and avoid being social butterflies.

However, one question to be asked is that whether you are a loner by choice or by circumstance.

There are many of us who are loners not because we want to stay aloof from the world, but instead we lack the confidence and self esteem to face the world.

There can be various factors that can dampen your confidence and thus such people need help and support of their near and dear ones to overcome their shell of exclusion and isolation.

How do you identify a loner? Well, it is not very tough to identify a loner. Such people often abstain from mingling easily with others. In a school, you can easily identify loners by their attitude.

They remain silent and reserved and often don’t have many friends. Instead, you’ll find such children sitting alone in one section of the class, unlike other children who are often seen chatting and enjoying with their friends.

Similarly, when a person grows up, a loner prefers spending time with himself. Such a person does not have a craving for social gatherings. If you are a loner because you lack the confidence to face the world, then you must try to find out the cause of it and take steps to overcome it.

There are also many people who like loneliness by there choice. They prefer the serenity and comfort of their self created world and prefer abstaining from the ‘hurry and burry of this mad world’.

Whatever be the cause of being a loner, one fact remains that such people can be easily identified through their basic personality traits.
