How to help your Child make Friends
Every child needs company and friends for healthy growth. While some children are outgoing and socializing by nature, there are also many who are shy, introvert and reserved. As a parent, you need to help your child make friends as friendship is a beautiful relationship which helps a person at every stage of life. Given below are some tips by which you can help your child to come out of his shell to interact and make friends.
To help your child make friends, you need to ensure your child develops qualities of healthy interaction and pleasing personality. After all, no one will make friends with a child who is aggressive or violent. A likeable personality is essential and this is a quality which can be easily developed through proper guidance. Teach your child the importance of friends in life and teach him positive qualities which will not only help him make and keep friends but will also help him to move ahead in life. If your child is an introvert, then you can help him to make friends. Introduce him to new people and encourage him to socialize and interact. However, never force him or scold him in front of others as that would further dampen his confidence.
Teach your child to help others as that is not only a good quality but also helps in making friends. Also, ensure that your child has a pleasing personality and is not arrogant or aggressive. Importantly, you need to teach the child to respect as well as love his friends. Many children often break friendships frequently. Such children need to learn that they should treat friends in the same way they would like to be treated. Similarly, teach your child social skills, importance of team work and once your child starts making friends, he will be a much more happier and confident child.
