How to give boost to your brain

August 21, 2008

Do you fall among the list of people who always have to set reminders in their cell phone for every little thing? Say an important meeting, a shopping list, or a birthday. Then definitely it’s a time for you to pay more attention to your humble brain which is always over driving with thoughts. Here are some easy ways to give a boost to your brain, just read on!

Remember that nothing bogs your brain down than stress. So always take out a valuable time for yourself so that you can revitalize yourself. You can always do deep breathing exercises and inculcate some yoga techniques in the spare time. Indulge yourself in activities that can make you happy and cheerful. Keep the worrisome habit at a bay. Also, maintain an optimistic attitude towards life.

Do you know even keeping your brain activated also strengthens it. So indulge into some crosswords, puzzles and mind twisters like sudoko that can act as stimulants for your brain and enhance the mental agility. Even mathematic puzzles are a great stimulant for your brain. If you think that puzzles are not your cup of tea, you can always invest in books. Otherwise you can always play games like scrabble, monopoly or board games with your kids. This will keep on an active note for sure.

If you have plenty of time, you can join dance classes, musical, theaters to enhance your creativity. Remember to stay socially engaged in some way or the other. Even parting can be a great experience. Just do anything that can help you to stay disconnected from the daily humdrum life.

Remember that disturbed and inadequate sleep also causes memory loss. Moreover, lack of sleep can lead to age-related ailments like diabetes, hypertension, obesity as well as memory loss to a very big extent, so make sure you sleep enough.
