How to get that shiny shimmer look-read out!

October 24, 2008

Winter in India coincides with the festivals and wedding season. It is that time of the year when the light and breezy look gives way to shimmery shades and smoky hues. So thinking what is the look of the season? It is total extreme. Either go for totally glossy or matte look. Nothing in-between!

The bronzed look in matte makeup is making a huge comeback. Make sure to keep the eye bright and lips in bold. The lips must be solid, not soft or glossy. Keep the skin luminous and not matte. Choose makeup that is mainly matte with hints of gloss.

Believe in unexpected hues and experimentation. There are no rules when it comes to colors this season. Go for deep red, burgundy and plum for your lips. For eyes, choose shades of yellow, bronze and gold. Choose bright colors for your nails like bubblegum pink, burgundy, and deep red. Go for peach shade on the cheeks for the day time and mix peach with bronze for night out. Don’t think green to be a summery color. It can give you a royal touch with an emphasis on emerald, bottle and deeper hues.

If there’s a feature that’s accentuated this season then it’s the eyes. So get the best look with it! Eyes are always the first thing people work on. Then lips are the close second. Do you know that cheeks are making a comeback with cheek jellies and blushes getting popular these days? Keep your eyes bright by using yellow for eye shadow. Believe me; strong eyes are back this season and with big emphasis on making up the eyes with lines extending outwards till the hairline. Hey just try out once! I m sure everyone will love your new look for sure!
