How to Get Rid of Under Eye Circles

Eyes are the most beautiful and expressive parts our body. No one would like to hamper its beauty with dark under eye circles. Dark circles or under eye circles are caused by various reasons and most of us would have experienced it sometimes or the other in our life. Lack of sleep, stress, hang-over, or even hereditary are some causes for under eye circles. While dark circles are usually temporary, there are some people who permanently have these dark eyes die to under eye circles. Whatever be the cause, there are certain natural ways by which you can easily get rid of under eye circles, or at least, definitely lighten them.

The best way to relax and de-stress your eyes is by placing cool cut pieces of cucumber on your eyes for at least 10 to 15 minutes. An almond oil massage under and around the eye region can prove effective. Similarly, a peanut oil massage is also helpful. Another effective natural home remedy for treating under eye dark circles is by placing two tea bags, preferably, chamomile tea, in cold water for 5 minutes and then place them on your eyes for 10 minutes. You can also take some turmeric powder and add a few drops of pineapple juice to it. Make a paste and apply it on your eyes for about 5 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Application of crushed mint leaves under the eyes for about 20 minutes can also help in warding off dark circles. According to research, application of skin creams containing vitamin K and retinol is also helpful. Also, drink loads of water, take adequate sleep, avoid caffeine and drink less of alcohol. Most importantly, you should eat foods rich in Vitamin E, vitamin C and iron to have healthy and beautiful eyes without nay beauty blots of under eye dark circles.
