How To Get Rid of Beer Stains

September 5, 2008

Having a cocktail party tonight? Beware of the spilling of wine and beer on various parts of your elegant and ethnic furniture. Parties are fun till the time they last. After party-time comes the most hectic part of cleansing the house of various left over stains. Most of them are caused by the spilling of drinks, especially beer, on your clothes and even on carpets or sofa-sets. Don’t panic as cleaning this stain is not a gigantic task. You need to be patient and intelligent enough to clean those stains when they are still wet as dry stains are really hard to remove. Given below are some methods which would aid you in freeing your house from beer stains.

If the beer stain is in your clothes, then rinse the beer stain thoroughly from the back of clothing with cold water. You can also use a liquid detergent mixed with cold water to be poured on the stain. Allow the detergent to stand on the alcohol stain for at least 5 minutes before washing it. Washing the stains as soon as possible is the best way to get rid of them. If the stains do not get removed by simple washing, then do not dry them as drying would only lead to the whole process of making the stain permanent. Stubborn stains can be removed by adding soap on the stain combined with some white vinegar.

If the beer has been spilled on your lovely sofa set, then don’t panic. Instead dab it by rubbing alcohol over the particular area; rub the stain with soap bar; let it dry; and finally brush it with a nail brush to easily remove the stain. Similarly, beer stains from carpets can be removed by immediately removing the stain with the help of a wet cloth. If this method fails, use a carpet shampoo to clean it.

With the given cleaning tips, one can enjoy one’s party without the fear of stains.
