How to get over a Hangover
Had excess amount of alcohol the other night at a party and are still facing dizziness? Hangovers are quite common in the young population where parties without booze do not have any existence. This leads to hangover symptoms which can range from dizziness and nausea to dry mouth and bloodshot eyes. If one is a party and an alcohol freak, then one should know about some natural and home remedies which can help a person to get over the hangover in an effective way.
Alcohol leads to a dehydrating effect on the body and thus one should consume plenty of water before going to bed to provide some relief to the body. It is always a good idea to eat something while and after you are drinking as this helps in reducing the rate at which alcohol enters the blood and can thus help in reducing the symptoms of a hangover. Moreover, the food which one takes with alcohol should be a fatty food item as fried food will stick to the inner lining of the gastrointestinal tract and retard the assimilation of alcohol in the blood stream.
Citrus fruits have been found useful in fighting the problem of hangover. Drinking a glass of fresh lemon juice can help in relieving nausea and dizziness associated with hangovers. One can also take Vitamin C tablets to break down the alcohol content in the body. Similarly, bananas and kiwi fruit are also natural remedies for this problem and it has been found that eating a chocolate bar or a cup of coffee after an alcoholic binge can help in preventing hangover as they help in regaining back of the nerve impulses. By following certain basic remedies, one can effectively get over the problem of hangover. However, it is always advisable to prevent this problem by limiting one’s intake of alcohol.
