How to drink like lady

July 10, 2008

All the women love attention. But the worst way to draw attention –the negative kind-is to make fool of yourself, especially where alcohol is concerned. Just follow these rules, hold your drink and your self respect too!

Don’t go for surprises
Don’t ever order anything that you don’t understand, as harmless cocktail can turn out to be a lethal. If you find it hard to handle drinks, then sticking to your regular poison would be a wise choice.

Don’t indulge in talks with stranger
Your buddies may understand your post-too-many-giggles, but don’t expect the same from strangers. You might appear fool to them, who can’t handle herself well. So, it would be better if you restrict your glasses of drink when you out with people you don’t know, otherwise you might become the object of their entertainment.

Snack it before
It would be better if you avoid mixing different alcohols together or drink on an empty stomach. You can always take light snacks with your drink, as snacking will protect you from getting harmed which alcohol causes to your body.

A glassy affair
Remember every glass is not a beer mug, so you need to know how to handle your glass of drink. If it’s tall, hold it in the center. If it’s squat, place it in your palm. If it has a stem, place the stem between your index and middle finger while glass on your palm.

Why not order a mocktail and be cool!
Last but not the least, if you are not comfortable with drinking, or not in a mood to order any alcoholic stuff, then don’t go for it even under pressure. Just stick to something non-alcoholic and be cool with your drink. You can always order from variety of mocktails and enjoy that.
