If you are one of those who have butterflies flying in stomach with approaching exam date, then you need to follow the given tips. First of all, you need to make a proper plan and schedule for your studies. Create a time table for yourself which has allocated time for studies as well as recreation. However, ensure to follow the deadlines set for yourself. This will help you study in a proper and organized manner thereby eliminating last minute study tension. You need to be informed and smart. Try to find out about sample papers, previous year’s papers, and general format of your paper so that you are prepared for it. While studying, it is important to take regular breaks to relax your mind as over-studying can lead to saturation and exhaustion level which in turn adds to fear level. Also, remember to keep time for revisions as they are important before exams.
Always sleep well before an exam as last minute studies only add to confusion and stress level. Most importantly, you need to develop a healthy and confident attitude towards exams. Don’t think about failures. Instead have belief in yourself as it is only when you believe in yourself that you can perform well. Change your attitude and you will slowly find loving exams as you need to take them as new challenges and not something to be afraid of. Even if you have ever suffered from failure, you need to remind yourself that “failures are stepping stones to success”. Follow these simple tips and you will easily overcome your exam anxiety to scale new heights of success.
