How to Deal with Different Issues Relating to Your College-Going Teenager
Issues relating to opposite sex
Treat the issues relating with opposite sex as a part of the natural progression of your child. Try to invest as much as trust as you can in your child. Make attempts to make your child feel that exploring their sexuality is not sinful. Answer their questions and address to their fears and misconceptions in a proper way. Tell them about physical and emotional trauma and risks and their various ways of their precautions too.
Health related issues
Eating patterns
For commuting with time and other important needs of day life, collegians rely on full time junk food and also have habit of skipping meals. So make sure you are always there to offer them with healthy and nutritious stuff like healthy sandwich, juices that they can carry with them. Also, a make sure your child does not walk away without having his or her breakfast.
Urinary tract infections
Using common bathrooms can make your teenager to get affected with urinary tract infections. So make them aware of this, also supply them with sanitizers and intimate washes from oriflamme or sebamed. If she suffers from any “odd sensation” or rashes tell her to visit a gynecologist.
Alcohol and nicotine
Don’t let your child flirt with them. Tell them about the harmful effects of such habits. Even if they are keen, introduce them to drink in the comfort of their own living room. Tell them to recognize that it’s not about the number of pegs you gallop down, but about relishing the each sip of your drink.
Drugs
“I should try everything in life once” attitude sounds perfect but as far as drugs are concerned give a big no to this saying. Just be bluntly honest about the ill effects of drugs to keep your teenager away from them.
