How to Deal with an Insecure Partner

January 19, 2009

Are you stuck up dealing with an insecure person? Insecurity is one of the biggest enemies of a healthy relationship. Many people are stuck up with insecure partners who are so preoccupied with their insecurity, that they miss out on happy and memorable moments of their life. Insecurity not only hampers the happy life of the person affected by it, but also makes the other partner’s life very challenging. How would you react if your partner is preoccupied gathering information about your past; or about your every movement; or simply, if your talking to someone else troubles him? If you are wondering how you can deal effectively with your insecure partner, our given tips can help you out.

First of all, understand that insecurity is a problem which results as a lack of self confidence combined with other psychological factors. If you have an insecure partner, then it is bound that all your activities would be closely monitored and you will be questioned a lot as the insecure partner has the fear of loosing you. Do not think it is a question on your honor and integrity. Instead of getting into an argument, be patient. Also, try to find out the reason behind the person’s insecurity and treat it if possible. Also, understand that the person has a problem which needs to be treated by your help. Build up your partner’s confidence and self-esteem; try to make him socialize; and also make the person perform some yogic asanas and meditation. Meditation will help him to connect with his higher inner energies. Also, you need to show your partner that you care for; show him importance as such people suffer from lack of self belief. Start spending more time with your partner, build up trust in your relationship and slowly and gradually, try to eliminate the germ of insecurity from him.
