How to Cure Iron Deficiency
Are you pale and fatigued? If yes, then you might be suffering from anemia caused due to iron deficiency. Anemia is a condition which is characterized by low count of hemoglobin and red blood cells. Usually common in women, anemia can be caused by inadequate iron intake or absorption by the body and also due to heavy blood loss through menstrual bleeding or injury.
Anemia caused by iron deficiency is characterized by lethargic body, brittle nails, general weakness, pale skin and shortness of breath. If you are suffering from iron deficiency and anemia, then you must consult a doctor and also follow the given natural ways to naturally overcome the problem of iron deficiency.
As discussed before, anemia is usually caused by iron deficiency. The best way to overcome this problem is by having a diet rich in iron. Iron rich diet includes beef and chicken liver, fish, canned beans, kidney beans, cereals, pumpkin seeds, leafy green veggies like broccoli and spinach, legumes, walnuts, raisins, and others. You must make it a point to include these given iron rich food items in your diet so that you can naturally increase your iron content in the body, helping prevent anemia and other related problems.
There are times when you might have iron rich foods, but still your iron count seems to be on the deficient side. This can happen if along with the above stated iron rich foods, you also unknowingly indulge in food items that block the absorption of iron by the body. These might include tea, coffee, chocolate, red wine and many diary products. Thus, ensure that you do not take these items along with iron rich diet as they can restrict the absorption of iron by the body.
If your iron levels are on a very low level, then there are iron supplements that are prescribed by a doctor. Thus, follow the given steps so as to remain healthy and fit.
