spectaclesA large number of people today are seen wearing spectacles. To keep your eyes strong and healthy, you need to take proper care of your spectacles. One such step includes cleaning of spectacles so that you have a clear vision. This article will provide some helpful tips on cleaning spectacles.

Wearing spectacles daily can lead to some dirt and pollutants getting deposited on your spectacle lenses. It is thus necessary that you wash and clean them on a regular basis. Here is how you can safely clean your spectacles at home.

If you have oil and dirt accumulated on your spectacle lens, then you must wash your spectacles with mild soap and warm water. However, do not be too harsh on your spectacles and you must exercise caution so that the spectacles don’t slip while you are washing them with soap.

Rinsing your spectacles in warm water is one of the best ways of keeping them clean and clear.

There are many people who use paper and rough cloth for cleaning their spectacles. This, however, can lead to scratches on your spectacle lenses. You must use a soft and a nonabrasive cotton cloth for cleaning lenses. These days lens cleaning cloth is available in markets and you must use it for cleaning your glasses.

You can also use lens cleaner to keep your spectacles clean. They are particularly helpful in clearing your spectacles of any fingerprints and other marks.

All you need to do is to put few drops of lens cleaner on your glasses and clean the glasses in a circular movement using a soft and a dry cloth. Soft fibers are also available from opticians and it is a good idea to use them in place of harsh cloths.

Thus, follow the above given methods of cleaning spectacles so that you always have a clear sight.
