How to Bond with your Baby

August 8, 2009

bondbabyWhen a new life takes birth, it fills the entire house with immense joy and happiness. It is rightly said that the joy of parenthood can be understood only by those who have experienced it.

We all tend to shower our immense love, affection and care on our baby. This leads to the development of an everlasting bond between a parent and a child. If you are wondering how you can build or strengthen your bond with your baby, then this article will help you out.

Bonding with a child is not something that can be achieved through some predefined steps. Instead, it is a process of parenting and happens automatically and is something which cannot be measured or quantified.

In fact, true relations can never be quantified against a set of metrics; they are heartfelt and truly lived emotions and relations.

As soon as a child enters your womb, a special bond gets built between you and your child. It is a special bond that ties the baby with the mother and even the father.

When a child is born, he develops a bond with you via various ways. Touch and eye contact are some ways.

When you hug your child, cuddle him, gently stroke him or breast feed him, he starts recognizing your touch. Touch thus becomes an important way through which a baby recognizes you and builds a bond with you.

Your facial expressions convey a lot to your baby. When you pass a smile to your baby, your baby understands it and knows you care for him. Eye expressions are a great way through which you can convey your feelings to your child and make him know he is loved and cared by you.

Most of us would have heard lullabies before sleeping when we were a child. But did you know that a lullaby is not just a sleeping song; it is a great way of connecting with your child and building a bond with him.

Thus, follow the above given tips to build up an everlasting and a special bond with your child.
