How to Bake Vegetables
We all are aware of the numerous benefits of vegetables. They aid in the overall enhancement and well being of one’s mind and body. While you can consume vegetables in their raw form, you can also cook them in a variety of ways like steaming, roasting, frying and baking amongst others. Let’s look at how you can bake vegetables and what the benefits of baking are.
While many people believe that cooking vegetables leads to a loss of important nutrients, it is not necessarily true. Cooking in the right ways not only makes the dish delicious, but also keeps the nutritional value of the vegetables intact. We all must have heard of baked foods as baking makes the vegetables tempting to eyes and taste. While we all know the role of baking in the preparation of cakes, pastries, and pizzas, baked vegetables are also extremely popular, tasty and healthy.
One of the most common and popular baked dish is that of baked vegetables, a rare combination of taste and health. Let’s look at how you can bake vegetables in a simple way. First of all, you need to select the vegetables you need to add in your dish like potatoes, beans, baby corn, carrots, cauliflower and others. Chop them into small pieces; add salt and little sugar and half-cook them in the microwave or on the stove-top. Then you can put the vegetables in a baking dish and add white sauce over it. White sauce in turn can be again prepared at home through a simple recipe.
After you have poured white sauce on your half-cooked vegetables and placed them in a baking bowl, you should bake it on 300 degrees for about 10 to 15 minutes. Also add cheese if you want. Your baked vegetables become ready in no time.
