Baking potatoes is a good way of consuming potatoes. If you are wondering how you can bake potatoes at home without exhausting your time and energy, then read below.

Potatoes can be baked in an oven or in a microwave. Medium sized potatoes are the best suited for baking. These days, potatoes have a ‘baking’ label on them and you must choose such potatoes if you want to cook a dish of baked potatoes.

After selecting potatoes, you first need to thoroughly rinse the potatoes. Also, remove any rotten or discolored spots from the potatoes. After doing that, you should take a folk or a sharp knife and pierce the potatoes several times and in several areas.

The aim is to create small holes in the potatoes through which the steam can come out; else there is a danger of your potato bursting inside your oven or microwave.

After performing the above steps, you must preheat the oven and then keep the potatoes inside it to get baked. If required, you can also rub the potatoes with little olive oil.

Keep your potatoes inside your oven for baking. When you find your potatoes skin golden brown, crisp, and puffy, then it implies that your potatoes are baked.

For further confirmation, you can pierce the potatoes with a knife or a fork and if you find it soft and tender, then remove the potatoes from the oven and garnish it with toppings. Your healthy and delicious baked potatoes are ready for consumption.
