December 15, 2008

Eyes are one of the most beautiful and expressive asset of one’s body. You can enhance your asset with intelligent makeup so that every eye ball rolls only in your direction. One such way of enhancing the beauty of one’s eyes is through the use of eyeliners. Liquid eyeliners are in fashion as they add a dramatic and glamorous look to one’s image. However, you need to know the art of applying such eyeliners so as to avoid a messy makeup. Given below are some tips which can help you out.

First of all, you need to make sure that your skin is not too oily due to sweating or application of foundation as that can lead to smudging. Use a cotton ball to wipe away extra oil so that your skin is dry and clean. Purchase good quality eyeliner. It is better to purchase one which is smooth and not sloppy or too thick. Also, choose the right color liquid eyeliner which suits your skin type. Preferably, choose a color which is similar to the eyelash color for a more natural look. While applying eyeliner, keep your eyes open and hands steady during application. You need to keep your eyes open so that you know where you are drawing the line. The simple and basic rule is to follow the eyelash line. If you have just started using liquid eyeliners and are not too comfortable with it, then you can start off by drawing three lines, one on the inside, middle and outside corner and then slowly connect them. For a retro look, you can keep the line thin at the inside corner and then gradually thicken it slightly as it curves outwards. At the outer corner, you can make small flick to beautify your eyes. Once you become used to application of liquid eyeliners, you can try out various creative makeup tips for your eyes.
