How to Apply a Lip Gloss

October 8, 2008

Lip Gloss has gained a lot of popularity amongst women as an essential beauty product for lips as its shimmer adds glamour and luster to one’s lips. It is a very versatile and essential beauty product which comes in a range of colors. Lip glosses are no longer meant only to apply shine, as a wide range of colors in which they are available ensure that they provide shine with color too. Read below to find some useful tips for the application of lip gloss so that you highlight your lips without making them look sloppy.

First of all, never think that since lip gloss needs to be applied over the lipstick, you can choose any cheap brand. Along with looking sloppy, these low quality lip glosses can even damage your lips. Thus, choose good quality branded lip glosses for style as well as safety. Lip gloss can be applied over the base colored lipstick for a stronger and darker effect and can also be applied directly on the lips for a subtle glow and glamour. If you are directly applying the lip gloss on your lips, then first exfoliate your lips with a soft, clean washcloth to remove the dryness from lips. You can use a makeup brush designed specifically for lipstick or lip gloss application for perfect effect. Begin the application of gloss from the centre of your lower lip and apply the gloss in short strokes until the natural line of your lips has been filled. Repeat application till you achieve the desired level of darkness. For feathering lips or lips having fine lines, gloss should only be used on the center of lips.

Follow these given useful tips of lip gloss application to add shine, luster and glamour to your lips.
