How to add fun while travelling with your kids

February 4, 2009

Long journeys, either by car or aeroplane can be quite boring for your kids as they are restricted to their seats. To keep your child in an enjoyable state, you certainly need to keep him or her busy with activities that interests him or her so that you all can have fun while travelling to your destination. Read this article below, it will guide you with different innovative ways that can certainly bring fun in your traveling.

Carry a happy bag when travelling by car, having some cars, some toys, a small book, puppets, story or song tapes, coloring book, crayons, chips and biscuits. In other words, you should carry anything and a little of everything that you know your child is fond of.

Also, you should carry trash bag so that you can teach your child t throw the empty wafer bag or cola tin or candy wrappers in it.

Let your child observe the environment-the houses, the grass, the cattle and if the child is fond of drawing then let him or her draw what he or she has seen.

You can also indulge into story telling to avoid monotony. Start your story and let your child add to it as you go along. You can even tape the story on the car recorder and let the child listen to it later and have a good laugh.

You can hum tune of a song or rhyme and ask our child to guess it out. You both can sing familiar songs with different tunes-like fast numbers with slow tunes and slow numbers with fast tunes. Believe me your child will have a giggling time doing this.

Carry lot of colorful fruits and healthy snack items for your kids, so that he or she can enjoy them whenever they feel hungry.
