How to accessorize a side table

November 10, 2008

Hey are you organizing a tea party at your place inviting your close friends and family member? Undoubtedly arranging parties requires lot of nice decorations, sumptuous food recipes and loads of fun. If decorations brings lots of confusion in your mind, then don’t worry here are some handy tips for all you people on how to accessorize your side table-just have a look on them!

Go out and do little bit of shopping for accessorizing your side table. If you have a pretty good stock of art pieces at your home itself, then it certainly a wonderful thing. Keep a tall piece in the middle of the table for height like artificial flowering branches. You can place it in a center or even to one side for giving an asymmetrical look to your table decoration. But it is very important that you avoid placing everything at the same height.

Never underestimate the power of books as styling tools! Confused? But yes it is true. Smart and contemporary books have their own say in adding attraction to your side table tops. Coffee table books or any hardcover books that have covers in similar colors work great. Make a stack of two or four books-always making sure to have the largest book on the bottom, working up to the smaller ones.

Try to Layer items to the front and some to the back of the table. This gives the table movement and keeps all the items from being on the same plane or in a perfect line. Smaller trays with votive candles or cute little dishes look very nice on the table, so why not try out this? If you want you can also place small-sized photo frames on the tables too. An even smaller vase looks great as well, if properly placed on table.
