How should a Woman dress for a cocktail party
Cocktail parties are too interesting and people really want to go to these parties. The best outfit which goes in these parties is the little black dress. It not only looks classy but also looks elegant.
But one should keep a few things in mind to get that perfect look for these parties.
The first and foremost thing to be done is to see what type of invitation it is. See if it is an invitation through a phone call, or an e-mail. In this case it is a more casual affair.
But if it is a formal occasion then you need to dress accordingly. You can go in for dresses from the minis to dresses which are just above the ankle. Make sure that the fabric of the outfit is according to the weather.
In winter wool and wool blends will look good but in summer satin, silk, rayon and gauge knits will look perfect. The look of the dress can be made more stylish by the accessories like bags, jewelry, handbags, shoes and wraps.
The right hairstyle is very important for a perfect look.
For a formal affair you can go in for a black wool dress with stockings and pumps. If it is summer then strapless or a spaghetti-strap along with a cardigan with nice embroidery looks very good.
This dress can be given a more stylish look with sling back, pumps or even straps sandals.
If it is a casual affair then you can go in for a wool skirt with a turtle neck which is well fitted. Wear leather flats as they look good in winter. Slim satin pants and low heeled mules look amazing in the summer.
Even a printed A-line sundress looks good on at a cocktail party. Weekend parties are flirtier and are more interesting.
So spice up your dress to have more fun. Go in for a satin or silk empire-waist dress with a velvet or silk shoulder wrap of beautiful color.
Wear the right jewelry and carry a smart bag and here you are ready to enjoy the party
