Hot beverages are very helpful during winters as they make you warm from inside. The most popular forms of hot beverages are various kinds of teas to hot coffees and even hot chocolates. Different kind of teas, especially herbal ones, can prove particularly effective during winters. Ginger tea with lemon and honey is one healthy option. It can be easily prepared at home by simmering 1 tablespoon of chopped ginger and water for five minutes and later adding lemon juice and honey to it.
This is a great way to keep yourself warm and healthy. Similarly, green tea is another healthy option with loads of benefits attached with it. The best outing during winters is going to a coffee shop and having hot steaming coffee for that energetic and active effect.
Hot chocolate is a great favorite of many. After all, nothing feels better than the melting of hot chocolate inside the mouth. You can make hot chocolate at home including the popular Mexican hot chocolate. All you need is some dark bitter chocolate which needs to be cut in small pieces. Take some milk, bring it to a boil and then add chocolate pieces to it.
After the chocolate is dissolved, add ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 pinch of salt and 1 or more pinches of chili powder to it. Simmer it for 10 minutes and you’ll have ready a hot and tasty chocolate drink to comfortably face the cold winds. Thus, hot beverages are a hot favorite during winters as they help you remain warm and healthy from within.
